BERRY SMOOTHIE

This is quite similar to the first smoothie I posted on my blog (see recipeΒ here), however this time I’ve made it a bit more exciting by adding berries! Because who doesn’t want to drink a pink smoothie?!Β πŸ’•

I’ve found myself regularly making smoothies in the morning as they’re so easy to do and this one has become my latest favourite. It’s great because you can use frozen berries which are so cheap to buy and taste just as yummy and are just as nutritious as fresh fruit.

Ingredients:

  • 1 banana, chopped
  • 2 handfulls frozen berries (I used a mix of blackberries, raspberries and blackcurrants)
  • 2 tsp cacao powder
  • 200ml milk
  • 3 tbsp Greek yogurt
  • 1 tsp honey (optional)

Serves 2

Method:

  1. Blend all ingredients together until smooth
  2. Pour into a glass andΒ top with a few whole berries
  3. It’s as easy as that!

TOP TIP: As this recipe makes enough for 2 servings, I usually store half in the fridge overnight and have the rest the next morning. It keeps really well so it’s a great way of saving time in the morning the next day!
